This is a cost effective, high throughput coating process typically used for thick build-up and surface restoration applications. It can also produce excellent metallic coatings such as molybdenum, aluminium, NiAl, and zinc used for wear and corrosion protection.
Arc wire can be used to produce a wide range of surface finishes. The process uses a positive and negative charged dual-wire system and then uses high-pressure air or gas to atomise and propel the coating to the work surface.
