Scope of work:

Client got in contact looking for a way to repair this Riser Tensioner Rod without fully replacing the part and also to extend its lifespan offshore.

After an initial discussion with the team at Nicol & Andrew (MSPE) we decided that repairing the damaged area with our HVOF Diatec 1062 coating was the best solution to ensure a excellent repair and to also extended the lifespan of the component

Results:

Customer has received a fully refurbished Component, this will not only reduce the overall repair cost but saving vital downtime.

HVOF Coating has now fully repaired this component to OEM specifications and extended the lifespan leading to less downtime within a time critical industry

This project has exhibited our large capacity excellently with this rod measuring 15Ft and weighing over 1.5T
