Scope of work:

Client got in contact looking for a way to repair this critical area on their Gearbox Shaft without fully replacing the part.

Bearing journal was badly pitted and out with the specification to continue in operation.

After an initial discussion with the team at Nicol & Andrew (MSPE) we decided that repairing the damaged area with our HVOF Diatec 1060 coating was the best solution to ensure a excellent repair and to also extended the lifespan of the component

Results:

Customer has received a fully refurbished Component, this will not only reduce the overall repair cost but saving vital downtime.

HVOF Coating has now fully repaired this component to OEM specifications
